Introduction:
It is the developing trend that special steel is becoming more and more popular. Special steel usually have special properties such as high-strength (silicon steel, manganese steel, stainless steel, etc), conductivity (silicon steel plate), thermostability, anti-corrosion. Steel strength is closely relative with the specification of slitting line design, so we specially describe high-strength coil slitting line.
High strength: δs ≥345Mpa, Q345、Q390、Q420、Q460、Q500、Q550、Q620、Q690, stainless steel.
High strength steel requires slitting line structure to be much stronger, so that steel slitting line tools to need to be harder. We would like to explain the unique characteristics by practical examples.

Characteristics:
1. For the same thickness of high strength steel with normal carbon steel, it requires machine strength to increase a lot, bigger motors, bigger rollers & shafts as well as bigger steel slitting line tools.
2. Material of slitting knives should be harder: SKD-11, H13, SLD, Hardness ≥HRC60.
3. Slitting speed shall not be as high as plain carbon steel coil slitting line.
